I received my assignment for round two of NYC Midnight's Short Story Challenge, and I have no idea what to write. I keep putting undo pressure on myself to make it perfect. More perfect than the last.
I ranked first in the first round out of 30 people; why am I so nervous?
My genre is science fiction, my subject is a one way ticket, and my character is an amputee. Sci-fi ranks pretty high on my list of favorite things to write, so this should be easy right?
Then why isn't it easy?
I'm not big on procrastination, and I only have three days to write this, but I think this calls for some yoga and mediation practice. I know I can do this, I just have to remember how to breathe.
